Blue Star Health Care high-temperature steam sterilization systems

Blue Star Health Care’s steam sterilization units are advanced medical devices engineered for use in the CSSD zones of hospitals, where they perform high-temperature sterilization of medical tools in full compliance with international regulations and validated protocols.

Reusable medical devices (RMDs), surgical instruments, and a wide range of healthcare-related items are consistently reprocessed using saturated steam technology within CSSD environments (ref. Dir. EU 93/42 on Medical Devices).

Steam sterilization in healthcare environments

Sterilization is a critical component in the prevention and control of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), forming the backbone of infection control protocols in healthcare settings.

The CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) is the designated facility within a hospital where medical and surgical instruments both sterile and non-sterile are cleaned, inspected, sterilized, stored, and redistributed for surgical use and patient care.

Hospital sterilization ensures the near-complete elimination of microbial presence, effectively neutralizing all pathogenic microorganisms from the surface of treated instruments and devices.

Blue Star’s sterilizers operate using saturated steam within a temperature range of 105°C to 140°C and a working pressure of up to 2.6 bar, meeting all international standards currently enforced in CSSDs (ref. EU Dir. 93/42 on Medical Devices).

The sterilization of surgical instruments is a crucial step in minimizing infection risks across healthcare facilities and plays a central role in maintaining clinical safety.

A reusable medical device, tool, or material is considered sterile when it achieves a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of less than 10⁻⁶ meaning the probability of a single viable microorganism on its surface is less than one in a million.

Small capacity saturated steam sterilisation system

BS-110B-2 | BS-150B-2 | BS250B-2

The small capacity BS-110B-2, BS-150B-2, and BS-250B-2 autoclaves by Blue Star Health Care are the ideal solution for clinics, day surgeries, and healthcare environments where efficient sterilisation is essential within limited space.

They are designed to support facilities handling approximately 1500 to 2500 operations per year, making them a smart choice for centers with moderate but consistent instrument processing demands.

Their compact yet robust design ranging from 110L to 250L chamber capacity ensures high performance without compromising on footprint. The BS-110B-2 delivers essential performance in the smallest size, the BS-150B-2 offers a balance of volume and power, and the BS-250B-2 provides a scalable option for growing workloads.

Their reliability and flexibility also make them an excellent addition to larger CSSD configurations, seamlessly integrating alongside high-capacity systems to help meet peak sterilisation targets with precision and consistency.

Compact, clean, strong, and reliable

Medium capacity high-temperature saturated steam sterilisation system

The BS-350B-2 and BS-450B-2 medium-capacity saturated steam sterilisers from Blue Star Health Care are standalone, high-performance solutions ideal for hospitals, surgical centers, and medical facilities managing a growing volume of daily procedures.

Thanks to their optimised capacity and reliable performance, these models are commonly chosen for integration into CSSDs and hospital-based central sterilisation units, where consistent instrument reprocessing is essential for operational efficiency.

Built to support the needs of institutions handling between 3,000 and 6,000 operations per year, these models can effectively manage the output of up to 4 operating theatres. The BS-350B-2, with a chamber volume of 350L, is ideal for mid-sized demands, while the BS-450B-2 offers a generous 450L volume for more intensive workloads.

Both models are available in single-door or double pass-through door configurations, ensuring smooth workflow separation and easy adaptation to any CSSD layout. Their sleek structure, automatic vertical sliding doors, and smart control systems make them easy to install, operate, and maintain even in space-constrained or complex project settings.

Whether used as part of a growing CSSD network or as standalone workhorses in high-demand zones, these autoclaves deliver safe, effective, and consistent sterilisation with every cycle.

BS-350B-2

Mid-Capacity Strength for Growing Demands

BS-450B-2

Smart Choice for Expanding Workflows

Large sized high-temperature saturated steam sterilisation system for sanitary applications.

The BS-450B-2 and BS-600B-2 large-capacity saturated steam sterilisers from Blue Star Health Care are designed for hospitals and central CSSDs that demand continuous high-volume sterilisation without compromising workflow efficiency.

Engineered to support facilities handling over 9 operating theatres and more than 15,000 operations annually, these units represent the backbone of large-scale instrument reprocessing in modern healthcare environments.
